Variegated Tree Schefflera
Also known as Dwarf Umbrella
It is a very popular and hardy species for beginners in the art of bonsai due to its ability to develop aerial roots and its tolerance to different environments.
Location: It can live both indoors and outdoors, but prefers the outdoors and needs plenty of indirect light or filtered sunlight. Being a variegated variety (leaves with yellow spots), if it lacks light, the leaves will turn completely green to absorb more energy. Indoors, place it near a bright window.
Watering: You should water when the top layer of the substrate is dry to the touch .
It tolerates a little drought better than excess water, which quickly rots its roots. It loves humid environments; misting its leaves is recommended.
Maintenance: To maintain it, cut back branches that grow too long; it is recommended to fertilize it every 15 days.
